La Dirección General de Contrataciones Públicas (DGCP) decidió a través de una resolución la suspensión del contrato suscrito con la empresa Transcore Latam, S.R.L para «Contratación del Servicio de Modernización, Ampliación, Supervisión y Gestión del Sistema Integral del Centro de Control de Tráfico y la Red Semafórica del Gran Santo Domingo» un proyecto con un valor de alredor de RD$1,317,350,997.00.
La suspensión se produjo hasta tanto se dé respuesta a las denuncias presentadas por las empresas Icontrolt Kapsch, Sistemas Integrados de Control, S.A. (SICTRANSCORE) y Trafficcom por supuestas irregularidades en el proceso de licitación pública llevado a cabo por el Intrant.
El documento realizado por la dirección dependencia del Ministerio de Hacienda, declara que, con la decisión de suspensión de oficio, las partes contratantes no podrán continuar con la ejecución del Contrato Núm. DJ-CBS-009-2023, como medida provisional hasta tanto se decidan el recurso jerárquico y las solicitudes de investigación presentadas con dicha licitación.
